Have you ever had an “Ah ha” moment where the realization was so amazing that you wish you could have them more often? Those were my thoughts during worship the other night. Earlier that same day the worship space was calm, quiet and spacious. Fast-forward a few hours and it was a frenzy of new faces, and noise as all of the teams gathered together for the first time to close the night in worship.
I would’ve never thought that in that space I would have met God so peacefully. A room filled with people of many ages and experiences, yet as I read my Bible, it came to life amidst the distractions. Isaiah 44:5 “still another will write on his hand ‘The Lord’s’”. I’m not sure why, but I felt a nudge to do the same. I took my pen, and on the back of my hand I wrote “The Lord’s”. Then it hit me, my hands are not my own but the Lord’s. They are not for serving myself, but serving God. My eyes are his to see, my ears are his to listen to him, and my feet to follow him. It gave me a sense of realization, excitement and awe at how God works amidst the chaos. How often have I missed God nudging me into these “Ah ha” moments?
Shalom,
Jodi
